Toyota Sale Increses day by day

Toyota Motor has seen strong sales increase this year, riding high on the early popularity of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

The Japanese automaker, best known for cars such as the Fortuner and Innova Crysta, revealed a more than 30% rise in sales between April and November of this year, compared to the same time last year.

Toyota sold 11,765 vehicles in the month, down from 13,003 in the same month the previous year. It is also lower than Toyota’s holiday month sales total of 13,143. Toyota intends to enhance sales with the next new generation Innova HyCross MPV.

Toyota Motor’s Associate Vice President of Sales and Strategic Marketing, Atul Sood, stated, “Last month, demand was skyrocketing, and anticipation for the much-anticipated, all-new Innova HyCross was mounting.

The Urban Cruiser Hyryder has also received positive feedback from the market. Cumulative wholesales increased by 31% from April to November 2022 as compared to the same period the previous year.”

Toyota introduced the Urban Cruiser HyRyder SUV in October of this year, with a starting price of Rs. 15.11 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the first small SUV in India to feature hybrid and powerful hybrid powertrains.

The Urban Cruiser HyRyder, developed in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, which offers the Grand Vitara as its technological cousin, exemplifies the Japanese automaker’s hybrid strategy for Indian markets as an alternative to the growing EV industry.

The impending Innova HyCross, India’s first MPV with hybrid power under the hood, is also a testament to the carmaker’s hybrid strategy.

Toyota also sells the Glanza hatchback in India, in addition to the Vellfire MPV, Camry hybrid sedan, and Hilux pickup truck.
